Guide trip rates/options

Guided fishing trips start at either the local bait shop (Christopherson Bait) or at the public landing for the lake we will be fishing on. We will have a brief chat on safety and what to expect for the day then we will head out on your guided fishing trip. 

We run our guided fishing trips in a large variety of ways depending on time of year species that you wish to chase and number of people on the trip. 

The number of people that we take on the boat at once depends on what species we are fishing for the tactics that we will be using and the boat/guide that takes you out. 

On guided musky trips we will have a max of 3-4 clients depending on time of year and what guide you go with. If you are looking for a guided trip with more anglers, we can look at if we can run two boats to accommodate your needs. 

On guided trips for other species, we can run a max of 4-5 clients depending on what boat is available for the trip. If you have questions on availability, please call and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. 

We will provide all the gear necessary for your guided fishing trip. 

Mega Muskies offers guided fishing trips in Alexandria, Minnesota for a variety of fish species. We offer guided fishing trips for Muskie, Walleye, Bass, Pike, and Panfish. We chase all of these fish in Alexandria and the surrounding area. 

There are many different reasons to book a guided fishing trip for any of these species. 

For muskies I get a lot of people that are after their first musky ever. There are also a lot of people that book with me to try out musky fishing to see if it is something that they would be interested in pursuing. We also have clients that book guided muskie trips with us to learn more about musky fishing their habits and new ways to fish for them! 

We get lots of people that book us to go chase walleyes. This is one of the most popular fish in the area. Many people like to fish for walleye because they are very good eating. They are a great option if you are looking to get on some fish that are a bit challenging fun fighting and good eating. Good action and a meal from these fish!

Bass are one of the fish that gives you the chance for some great action! When you get on a good school of bass it can be a fish every cast! Bass are not normally the fish that you will want to eat but they do put up a great fight and lots of action!

Northern Pike are a great option if you are looking to have a chance for a big fish or want to get a fish that is good eating. Less popular than the walleye but they can make a great meal if you can get some of the bigger size pike.

Panfish are a great option if you would like to get the kids out on the boat and want some good action! You can catch lots of panfish like sunnies, crappies and perch in the area. If we can find some big panfish they make a great meal also! 

All trips are open to catch and release if you would like. You can also keep the fish you catch the only species that is strictly catch and release is Musky. Fish cleaning is included if you would like to keep your fish!
